Functions of the Department
- Oversee the development, implementation, maintenance and review of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-related policies and systems in the Ministry;
- Alignment of ICT strategy with the business strategy to achieve set objectives
- Ensures access and effective utilization of ICTs in the Ministry to create value and enhanced service delivery.
- Ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability and security of information through robust ICT infrastructure.
- Establish close linkages with other Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
